Mend your relationship with money

Today we’re diving deeper than ever into what it really means to have a relationship with money.

If you’ve ever said things like “I just want more money,” or “I wish I didn’t have to stress about it,” this episode is for you.

You’ve probably heard the phrase “money mindset” tossed around, but today we’re unpacking it in a whole new way—because this isn’t just about positive thinking. It’s about how you treat money, talk to money, and show up in your daily life as someone who is in a conscious, loving relationship with it.

This episode is your invitation to get intimate with money—not in a transactional way, but in a transformational way.

Money Is Not Just a Tool—It’s a Relationship

Let’s begin here:

Most of us were taught to see money in extremes.
It’s either good or bad. Sacred or selfish.
Something to chase, to fear, to ignore, or to constantly complain about.

But here’s a shift I want you to consider—whether this is brand new to you or something you’ve heard before:

Money is energy. And you are in a relationship with it.

In fact, you’ve always been in a relationship with money.
It was present the moment you were born.
It shaped the conversations you overheard growing up.
It influenced the way your caregivers made decisions—what they stressed over, what they celebrated, what they avoided.

And now, you’re living out your own money story.

Like any relationship, your connection with money is shaped by how you show up for it.

So ask yourself this:
If money were a person, how would it feel about how you treat it?

Would it feel loved, respected, appreciated?
Or would it feel used, feared, or neglected?

Think about it…
We ghost money by avoiding our bank accounts.
We chase it in desperation.
We push it away with stories like “I’m not good with money.”
We receive it… then immediately complain it’s never enough.

This is how many of us unknowingly sabotage the relationship.

So here’s your invitation:
Start paying attention to how you relate to money.
Not just how much you have, but how you think about it, talk about it, treat it.

Because when you shift the relationship, you shift everything.

You Can’t Attract What You’re Pushing Away

Here’s a big truth:
You can’t attract what you’re energetically rejecting.

Let’s do a quick exercise together.

Think back to the highest amount of money you’ve made in a specific time period—a day, a week, a month, or a year.
Got that number?

Now multiply it by 10.

Take a breath, and just notice:
What comes up in your body?
Where do you feel it?
What does it feel like?

When I did this for myself, I uncovered a sneaky limiting belief that was quietly capping my income.
Not because I didn’t want more money… but because deep down, it felt exhausting.

My chest felt heavy. My body slumped.
The thought of 10x-ing my income felt like it would require 10x the effort, time, and energy.
And that’s when it hit me: my issue wasn’t money. It was my beliefs about time and energy.

I still believed I had to work hard to make money.
I believed I could have money or energy—but not both.
And what sucked was… I thought I’d already dealt with this!

Not only that—I’d been blaming Money the whole time.
I was being a pretty crappy friend to Money. How unfair is that?

So I started rewriting the belief.
Here’s the new story I’ve been wiring in—and you’re welcome to borrow it, or create your own:

“The more money I make, the more energy I have, and the less I work.”

Let that sink in.

Because if you’re still carrying guilt, shame, or fear around money (or time or energy), you’ll subconsciously sabotage it—even when it shows up.
Or, if you’re like me (still deepening the relationship with money every day), you might find yourself worrying it’ll disappear—even when you can see it in your bank or investment accounts.

That’s why shifting from fear to love in your relationship with money isn’t a one-time mindset hack.
It’s a daily practice of emotional awareness and energetic alignment.

Start by noticing your fear-based thoughts, like:

  • “I can’t afford that.”

  • “That’s too expensive.”

  • “What if I run out?”

And then… soften them.

Ask yourself: What would love say here?

Love might say:

  • “There’s always more where that came from.”

  • “I trust myself to make wise decisions with money.”

  • “Money supports me in living my most aligned, abundant life.”

This isn’t about toxic positivity.
It’s about creating an energetic environment where money feels safe, welcome, and appreciated.
That’s how you stop pushing it away—and start letting it flow.

Feel First, Then Act

Here’s the truth:
Your job is to feel abundant before the money shows up.

I know—that sounds hard.
Of course it’s easier to feel abundant when your bank account is overflowing, right?

But here’s the thing:
When you feel abundant first, you naturally take aligned action.
You show up in what I call your Queen Energy.
You magnetize.
You stop forcing.
You stop operating from fear, scarcity, or lack.
And as a result, money flows in with more ease.

Now, let me be real with you—2024 was a tough money year for me.
Not because the numbers in my bank account were scary—they were fine.
But it felt like money was flowing away from me, not toward me.
I felt scared, stuck, and honestly… pretty annoyed and resentful towards money.

But I knew this fear would only keep me spinning.
So I doubled down on my money work.
(Not for the first time, and definitely not the last—it’s never a one-and-done process.)

And as a result, 2025 is shaping up to be my best year yet.
Money-wise, yes.

But more importantly—time-wise, energy-wise, joy-wise.
I feel spacious, calm, trusting, confident.

And guess what? The money is flowing again.

Because the truth is, the money was always there.
I was just blocking it—with a crappy inner dialogue and some outdated limiting beliefs.

Now, whenever money shows up—whether it’s a 10-cent coin I find on the ground or a new high-level client—I celebrate.
I laugh.
I feel grateful.
And I say: “Thank you.”

But don’t get me wrong—this transformation didn’t happen overnight.
It’s not like I had one better thought and a wad of cash landed in my lap.
It took faith.
And a constant commitment to checking in with my thoughts and energy.
I had to choose a better-feeling thought—again and again and again.

On the practical side:

  • I started appreciating the money I already had—in my bank account, in my investments, in every tiny transaction.

  • I used that as evidence to believe that more was coming.

  • I started watching programs or reading books where the characters were living in luxury, and rather than comparing and despairing, I used that as evidence that what I want to create is possible

  • And most importantly, I stopped trying to control how or where money would show up.

For example:
I used to post on social media and expect a specific result.
Or I’d host a masterclass and be emotionally attached to a certain outcome.

Now?
I align with my highest money frequency first.
Then I take action.
Then I trust—deeply—that something amazing is on its way.
(It usually comes in a way I didn’t expect.)

And you know what? It’s way more fun.
It’s playful.
It’s powerful.
And it’s a far more magnetic way to do business.

So before you pitch your next offer, launch your new program, or even open your bank app—
Pause.
Check in with your energy.

  • Are you grounded or frantic?

  • Are you leading with trust—or desperation?

Because this “feeling work”?
It’s not fluff.
It’s foundational.

Let It In—All of It

Here’s the wild truth:
We often ask for more money… and then block it from coming in.

We block it by:

  • Not creating simple, clear ways to receive (hello, easy payment links )

  • Dismissing unexpected money as “not real income”

  • Downplaying our worth in sales conversations or hiding when it’s time to show up

We even block it with resistance when it doesn’t come the way we thought it would.

But here’s what I’ve learned:
Money doesn’t follow your plan. It follows your openness.

So start celebrating all of it—refunds, discounts, gifts, surprise clients, paid.

It’s all part of the flow.
Receive it like the queen you are.
Own your worth.
Let it in.
